マイケル・レスク(英語 Michael E. (Mike) Lesk,1945-　)は、米国のコンピュータ科学者である。[[ラトガース大学]]教授、専門分野は電子図書館、情報検索。

== 経歴 ==
1960年代にSMARTプロジェクト(SMART Information Retrieval System project)に参加し、多くの検索コードを作成し、検索実験を行った。
化学物理でハーバード大学にてPh.Dを1969年に取得した<ref>[Michael Lesk's Grade Crossing on the Information Superhighway]http://lesk.com/mlesk/</ref>。
1970年から1984年にかけて、ベル研究所で、UNIXグループに属した。
レスクはUnixのワードプロセッサツール、コンパイラ、ネットワークツールを開発し、ポータブルI/Oライブラリを作成した。
この中でC言語のプリプロセッサに重要な貢献をした。
1990年代には、大規模な化学情報しシテムを開発するCOREプロジェクトを[[コーネル大学]]、OCLC, ACS ,CASとともに働いた。
1998年から2002年には、NSF(アメリカ国立科学財団)の情報とインテリジェント部門のトップであった。
現在は[[ラトガース大学]]図書館情報学部、SCILS (School of Communication, Information, and Library Studies)教授である。
